Due to the conductive nature of the carbon fibers, it is not possible to get the exact color from the palette. With very bright colors (such as yellow or orange) this effect is more pronounced. Color variations and discoloration may occur through direct exposure to the sun. This does not influence the functionality and performance of the cover.

shuffle

Before combining, mechanically mix component A. After the entire amount of component B has been added to component A, mix further for 2 minutes until a homogeneous mixture is obtained. After mixing components A and B, add quartz sand 0.1-0.3 mm (0.0039-0.0118 in) and mix for another 2 minutes, until a homogeneous mixture is obtained. To ensure that they have been properly mixed, pour the contents into another container and mix again until a consistent mixture is obtained. Prolonged mixing should be avoided to minimize aeration of the mixture. Sikafloor®-381 ECF must be thoroughly mixed using an electric mixer with low rotation speed (300 – 400 rpm) or other suitable equipment.

APPLICATION

Wear layer (horizontal surfaces): Sikafloor®-381 ECF is poured and spread with a notched trowel / squeegee, e.g. Squeegee for large surfaces No. 656, Serrated blades No. 25 (www.polyplan.com). After evenly spreading the material, twist the serrated squeegee and level the surface to achieve a highly aesthetic finish. Roll immediately (within max. 10 minutes of application) in two perpendicular directions, crosswise, with a spiked roller to ensure even thickness and remove entrapped air. To obtain the highest level of finish, roll with the spiked stencil in two perpendicular directions (at a 90° angle), passing only once in each direction. Wear layer (vertical surfaces): Using a trowel apply the first layer of Sikafloor®-381 ECF mixed with 2.5 - 4% p.m. Extender T. After mounting the earthing points and applying the conductive layer, using a trowel apply the second layer of Sikafloor®-381 ECF mixed with 2.5 - 4 % p.m. Extender T. Anti-slip wear layer: Sikafloor®-381 ECF is poured and spread with a notched trowel / squeegee and an excess of silicon carbide 0.5 - 1.0 mm (0.0197 - 0.0394 in) is spread in the fresh resin layer. After drying, excess silicon carbide must be removed from the entire surface by sweeping and vacuuming.

CLEANING OF TOOLS

Clean all tools and application equipment with Thinner C immediately after use. The already hardened material can only be removed mechanically.
