These figures are theoretical and do not include any additional material that may be due to surface porosity, surface profile, level variations or losses etc. SUPPORT QUALITY The substrate must provide sufficient strength and adhesion to withstand the forces generated by wind suction. PREPARATION OF THE SUPPORT The substrate must be firm, clean, dry or slightly damp, free of oil, grease, dust, pickling agents, stagnant water, bitumen residue and loose friable particles. APPLICATION Strictly follow the installation procedures defined in the application procedure, application manuals and work instructions which must always be adjusted to the actual site conditions. general information Sarnacol®-2142 S must be thoroughly mixed before use. Keep the container of adhesive closed whenever the adhesive is not in use to prevent surface film. To improve the workability of the adhesive at low temperatures, the closed container can be placed in warm water (max. +40 °C (+104 °F)). Adhesive residues on Sarnafil® G Felt must be cleaned with Sarna Cleaner. Adhesive residues on Sarnafil® T Felt must be cleaned with Sarnafil® T Clean. General Bonding Procedure - Wet Bonding The adhesive is spread evenly on the substrate using a synthetic stencil directly from the container and ensuring that there are no lumps in the applied layers. Bonding on PVC membranes Apply the adhesive to the substrate. Do not apply the adhesive to a larger area than can be covered in 15 minutes. Do not pour the adhesive or spread in a second step. Once the adhesive surface has become "tacky", apply the membrane to the adhesive. Press the membrane firmly using a suitable pressure roller, such as a water-filled roller or a 40-50 kg (88.2-110 lb) heavy steel roller. Bonding on EPS polystyrene boards Apply the adhesive to the substrate in a thin layer (~250 g/m 2 ). Bonding on highly absorbent substrates (mineral fiber boards) Apply 2 layers of adhesive. First layer ~800 g/m 2 . Allow the adhesive to dry completely. Apply a second layer ~400 g/m 2 max. CLEANING OF TOOLS Clean all application tools and equipment with Sarna Cleaner or Sarnafil® T Clean immediately after use. Hardened material can only be removed mechanically. |
