Accelerating High Range Water Reducing/Superplasticising Concrete Admixture

Sika® ViscoCrete®-25 MP (GB) is based on unique polycarboxylate polymers technologies. Sika® ViscoCrete®-25 MP (GB) is a liquid admixture for concrete which is used as an accelerating high range water reducer or superplasticiser. The product provides fast adsorption resulting in highly efficient dispersion and potential reduction in mixing time. It meets the requirements of BS EN 934-2.

Specific Advice

Freezing Point: +1°C

Air Entrainment:  Negligible, normally a minimal increase

Effect on Setting:  Slight extension to normal setting at 0.2% dose, normal setting up to 0.4% dose and accelerated setting at higher dosages due to its chemical nature.

Effect of Overdosing:  Increased workability and segregation

Alkali Content:  Awaiting futher testing

Dispensing

Sika® ViscoCrete®-25 MP (GB) is added to the gauging water at the plant or added on-site into the concrete mixer. A minimum of sixty seconds mixing time is required to ensure the full effect of the product performance.
