ApplicationLayer thickness ~ 0.2 – 0.25 kg/m²/layer. Please refer to the respective System Data Sheet. Ambient air temperature +2°C (+36 °F) min. / +30°C (+86 °F) max. The relative humidity of the air 80% u.r. max. 35% min. (below +20°C (+68 °F): 45% min.) Dew point Beware of condensation! The temperature of the substrate and uncured material on the surface must be at least 3˚C higher than the dew point, to reduce the risk of condensation and delamination of the finished surface. Support temperature +2°C (+36 °F) min. / +30°C (+86 °F) max. Frozen surfaces must be thawed within 24 hours. Moisture content in the substrate No visible moisture (maximum 18% wood moisture equivalent). < 6% pm moisture content by Sika®-Tramex-meter test method, < 4% CM - carbide measurement method or oven drying method. Rising moisture is not recommended, according to ASTM standards (polyethylene sheet test). Lifetime of the mixture Material from opened containers should be applied immediately. In the case of opened containers, a hardened film will form on the surface in approx. 24 hours. High temperatures and relative humidity will significantly accelerate curing. Please refer to the respective System Data Sheet. shuffle Mix Sikafloor®-406 and Sikafloor®-Quartz Sand KG 7, e.g. Graffito (0.6 – 1.2 mm (0.0236 – 0.0472 in)) using an electric mixer with low rotation speed for 2 minutes to obtain a homogeneous mixture. The mixing ratio is 0.75 l Sikafloor®-406 and 5 kg (11 lb) Sikafloor®-Quartz Sand KG 7, e.g. Graffito (0.6 -1.2 mm (0.0236 -0.0472 in)). Mixing tools: Sikafloor®-406 and Sikafloor®-Quartz Sand KG 7, e.g. Graffito (0.6 – 1.2 mm (0.0236 – 0.0472 in)) should be mixed using an electric mixer with low rotation speed (300 – 400 rpm) or other suitable equipment. APPLICATION Before application, check the humidity of the support, the relative humidity and the dew point. As a primer, the product can be applied by brush or nylon medium bristle roller, as a wear coat with a metal trowel, and as a seal coat with a nylon medium bristle roller. CLEANING OF TOOLS Clean all tools and application equipment with Thinner C immediately after use. The already hardened material can only be removed mechanically. |
