Significant improvement in detection quality.

The digi motion detector, almost invisibly integrated into the lamp, finally puts an end to the time-consuming delimitation of the detection area. This can be set up simply and flexibly using the STEINEL Connect app:

• The 180° detection area of ​​the sensor is divided into three zones
• Each of the three zones can be activated or deactivated individually
• For each of the three zones, the range and sensitivity can be adjusted separately

In this way, neighboring fields or paths can be excluded from the detection area and faulty switching can be minimized.

By combining the three pyrotechnic sensors and the innovative mirror technology, we have succeeded in bringing radial detection closer to tangential detection. The direction of movement is therefore irrelevant for the quality of the detection, within a range of up to 8 m. Compared to conventional infrared motion detectors, the IS 180 digi thus offers considerably better detection.

Functions at a glance

• Twilight setting: select under which lighting conditions the lamps should switch on if movement is detected. This is done in the app using the cursor, as a direct numerical input or via the learning function (here, the current brightness value or the brightness value measured at a desired time is taken over as the new twilight value)
• Timer: decide how long (5 seconds - 60 minutes) the light should remain on after detecting movement
• Range adjustment: the three detection zones can be activated and deactivated simply and flexibly, and the sensitivity of the sensors can be adjusted
• Continuous light: switches the light on and off permanently at a freely selected time, without requiring movement to be detected
• All settings can be made easily using the app.
• The app also allows you to network as many other Bluetooth Mesh products as you like, and to assign the functions group.
