Aluminium lugs are used for joining and connecting multi-strand aluminium conductors, compacted or non-compacted, from low- and medium-voltage electrical networks or in electrical installations. Aluminium lugs withstand the same tensile force as the conductors they are joined to. Corrosion protection is achieved by greasing the surfaces that come into contact with the conductor at the time of joining, using neutral grease or contact paste.
