ApplicationAmbient air temperature +2°C (+36 °F) min. / +30°C (+86 °F) max. The relative humidity of the air 80% u.r. max. 35% min. (below +20°C (+68 °F): 45% min.) Dew point Beware of condensation! The temperature of the substrate and uncured material on the surface must be at least 3˚C higher than the dew point, to reduce the risk of condensation and delamination of the finished surface. Support temperature +2°C (+36 °F) min. / +30°C (+86 °F) max. Frozen surfaces must be thawed within 24 hours. Moisture content in the substrate No visible moisture (maximum 18% wood moisture equivalent). < 6% pm moisture content by Sika®-Tramex-meter test method, < 4% CM - carbide measurement method or oven drying method. Rising moisture is not recommended, according to ASTM standards (polyethylene sheet test). Lifetime of the mixture Material from opened containers should be applied immediately. In the case of opened containers, a hardened film will form on the surface within 1 - 2 hours. High temperatures and relative humidity will significantly accelerate curing. Hardening time Before applying Sikafloor®-416 MAT over Sikafloor®-405 a waiting time shall be allowed as follows:

Note: Low temperatures and relative humidity will delay drying. A period of 24 hours will be expected before allowing pedestrian traffic. Consumption ~0.1 – 0.3 kg/m²/layer depending on the application. Please refer to the respective System Data Sheet. shuffle Sikafloor®-416 MAT must be thoroughly mixed using an electric mixer with low rotation speed (300 – 400 rpm) or other suitable equipment. APPLICATION Before application, check the humidity of the support, the relative humidity and the dew point. The product can be applied using a short-pile roller. Make sure the stencil is kept saturated with product and do not let it dry out during application. CLEANING OF TOOLS Clean all tools and application equipment with Thinner C immediately after use. The already hardened material can only be removed mechanically. |
