Typical technical data
| ||||||||||||||||||
ApplicationLayer thickness ~ 1.0 mm (~ 0.0394 in) max. Ambient air temperature +10°C (+50 °F) min. / +30°C (+86 °F) max. Dew point Beware of condensing conditions! The temperature of the substrate and uncured product during application must be at least 3 °C (37 °F) above the dew point to reduce the risk of condensation. Support temperature +10°C (+50 °F) min. / +30°C (+86 °F) max. Moisture content in the substrate The substrate must be dry or moist (but without standing water). Lifetime of the mixture
To achieve longer workability at high temperatures, the mixture of SikaScreed®-20 EBB can be divided into smaller quantities. O altă metodă este să răciți părțile A și B înainte de a le amesteca ( nu la mai puțin de +5°C (+41 °F)). Waiting Time / Recoating Maximum waiting time for wet-on-wet application on SikaScreed®-20 EBB
If the waiting time is exceeded, then the product must be removed before continuing with applications of SikaScreed®-20 EBB and the properly prepared substrate. Consumption For substrate roughness up to 1.0 mm (0.0394 in) and normal absorption, approx. 0.6 - 1.0 kg/m². These data are theoretical and do not take into account the additional material due to surface porosity, deviations from flatness or losses, etc. For higher roughness and stronger absorption the consumption must be calculated using preliminary site tests. shuffle Part A : part B = 2 : 1 by weight or volume Before mixing both components, mix component A (resin) using a low speed (300-400 rpm) single paddle mixer until a uniform color is obtained. Add component B (the hardener) over component A and mix parts A + B continuously for 3 minutes until a mixture of uniform color is obtained. To ensure complete mixing, pour the materials into a clean container and mix again for at least one more minute to obtain a consistent uniform mixture. Overmixing should be avoided to minimize air entrapment. During the final mixing step, clean the sides and bottom of the container with a spatula or trowel at least once to ensure thorough mixing. Only mix complete units. Mixing time for A + B = 4 minutes. APPLICATION Before application, check substrate moisture, relative air humidity and dew point. Leveling Avoid excessive thickness of SikaScreed®-20 EBB in local areas by pre-filling as necessary any surface voids with the SikaScreed HardTop Mortar System. Connecting bridge Pour the SikaScreed®-20 EBB mixture onto the prepared surface and apply evenly to the required thickness using a stiff brush or brush pressing the material as deep as possible into the substrate. Alternatively, for dry base coats, apply by roller or spray. Make sure all areas of the backing layer are completely covered. Apply SikaScreed® screed systems over SikaScreed®-20 EBB 'wet' on 'wet'. It is recommended for guidance that the working front for application does not exceed 4m² in addition to the working time/coverage recommendations. CLEANING OF TOOLS Clean all application tools and equipment with Sika® Colma Cleaner immediately after use. Hardened material can only be removed mechanically. |
