PREPARATION OF THE SUPPORT

The surface must be clean and dry, homogeneous, without traces of oil and grease, dust or friable particles. Paint, cement milk and any other contaminating agent must be removed. The product adheres without primers or activators to most construction materials, such as: wood, concrete, brick, metal or aluminum. For non-conventional substrates, a preliminary adhesion test is recommended

APPLICATION

IMPORTANT

The product does not adhere to polyethylene (PE), polypropylene (PP), polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE / Teflon) and silicone, oil, grease or release agents.

IMPORTANT

Do not use the product in place of mechanical or structural fastening.

IMPORTANT

When used to bond vertical/horizontal building components, they must be supported until the product has developed sufficient strength.

IMPORTANT

Relative humidity is necessary for the foam to harden. Insufficient humidity can lead to unwanted expansion of the foam (post-expansion).

IMPORTANT

  1. Be careful when attaching or removing the nozzle. If pressure is applied to the valve, foam may spray.
  2. Before applying the foam, wet the support layer with clean water. In this way, optimal strengthening of the foam is ensured and further expansion is prevented.
  3. Shake the tube well before use, at least 20 times. Note: Repeat after long breaks in use.
  4. Remove the cap from the tube.
  5. Screw the nozzle firmly onto the valve thread without pressing the valve.
  6. IMPORTANT The flow of polyurethane foam can be adjusted by pressing the valve. Hold the tube with the valve down during application. Note: The amount of extruded foam can be adjusted by applying more or less pressure to the trigger.
  7. IMPORTANT Allow each coat to expand and harden sufficiently before rewetting with water to apply the next coat. Fill the deep joints in several layers. Note: Fill voids/cavities only partially as the foam expands during curing. Note: Small voids can be filled with an extension tube, but this will reduce foam flow.
CLEANING OF TOOLS

Fresh foam stains will be removed immediately using Sika Boom®-Cleaner / Sika® Remover-208. Hardened foam can only be removed mechanically
