Rapid setting mortar

Sika MonoTop®-108 Water Plug is a rapid-setting cement mortar for plugging water leaks in concrete and masonry walls.

Usage
  • Instant plugging of negative pressure water inlet through cracks, gravel niches and casting joints
  • Instant plugging of drained water outlets, during waterproofing treatments.
Advantages
  • Rapid setting to avoid washout even in the presence of running water
  • Hardens within ~60–80 seconds (at 20 °C (68 °F))

MIXING

By hand, rapidly mix mortar and water in a quantity that is adequate to produce a plug to be applied in a few seconds. Protect hands with rubber gloves.

The setting time will change by varying the amount of water.

APPLICATION

Continue to massage the mix for a few seconds until it begins to set, then apply immediately. Press the mortar into the infiltration and maintain adequate pressure for several seconds until the setting has taken effect.

Eliminate excess material by scrapping it away with a spatula after the setting is complete.

CLEANING OF TOOLS

Clean all tools and application equipment with water immediately after use.

Hardened material can only be mechanically removed.
