Cleaning agent for Sikaplan® membranes

Sika® Trocal Cleaner-2000 is a cleaning solvent before thermowelding Sikaplan® membrane overlays.

Use
  • Cleaning agent for removing contamination from the surface of Sikaplan® membranes and preparing old PVC membranes for hot air welding.
  • Cleaning agent for the preparation of Sikaplan® PVC membranes for hot air welding.
Advantages
  • Dissolves and emulsifies contamination with adhesive resin, mastic and bitumen
  • Rapid evaporation
  • Can be used to clean metal tools
  • It is not recommended for the preparation of PVC membranes that are cold bonded with solvent-based adhesive.

APPLICATION

Dampen a white cotton cloth with the cleaner and remove contamination from the heat-sealing surfaces. Do not apply cleaner directly to the membrane surface. For hard-to-remove residues, an abrasive sponge (Scotch Brite) can be used.

Dry the heat-sealing surface with a white cloth.

To remove mineral-based contamination from the membrane surface, Sika® Trocal Cleaner-2000 can be diluted with water.
