Sprayable bitumen based underbody coating in aerosol can Sikagard-6060 S is a fast-drying, bitumen-based quick repair protective coating in an aerosol can with very good rust-proofing and sound deadening properties. It is suitable for an effective vehicle underbody protection. Sikagard-6060 S can be sprayed haze free without any cob webbing and does not drip.
Sikagard-6060 S shows good adhesion on different paints, metal primers, metals and PVC without any pre-treatment.

Usage Sikagard-6060 S is a spray applied anti-corrosion coating for quick repairs of non-visible areas such as wheel arches and underbody parts of vehicles that do not need to be over painted.
This product is suitable for experienced professional users only. Tests with actual substrates and conditions have to be performed to ensure adhesion and material compatibility. |

Technical Information CHEMICAL RESISTANCE Sikagard-6060 S is resistant against water, seawater, salt spray, bases and acids. The above information is offered for general guidance only. Advice on specific applications will be given on request.

Application Information Surface Preparation Surfaces must be clean, dry and free of rust, dust and grease. Bare metal substrates must be pretreated to enhance corrosion resistance (e.g. uncoated steel, etc). Application Shake can approx. 40 times before use. Cover adjacent surfaces prior the spray process. Spray at room temperature and from a distance of approx. 25 cm in an grid motion to build up a continuous coat. Sikagard-6060 S can be applied without dripping. If a thick layer is required, let layers dry in between. Hold the can in an upright position and do not spray on parts of the brake, engine or exhaust system. After use, invert can and spray in short bursts to clear nozzle. Removal Uncured Sikagard-6060 S can be removed from tools and equipment with Sika Remover-208 or another suitable solvent. Once dried, the material can only be removed mechanically. Hands and exposed skin shall be washed immediately using hand wipes such as Sika Cleaner-350H or a suitable industrial hand cleaner and water. Do not use solvents on skin. Overpainting Sikagard-6060 S cannot be overpainted. |
