PREPARATION OF THE SUPPORT

The substrate must be clean, solid, without oils, fats, dust or friable particles. Paint, cement laitance and other contaminants must be removed. The product adheres without primers and/or activators to most construction materials, such as: wood, concrete, brick, metal or aluminum. A preliminary adhesion test is recommended for non-conventional substrates.

If the substrate has protrusions larger than about 2 cm (0.787 in), remove them by sanding with a suitable tool (eg an angle grinder)

To improve adhesion, smooth substrates can be roughened with an abrasive paper.

CLEANING OF TOOLS

Clean all application tools and equipment with Sika Boom® Cleaner or Sika® Remover-208 immediately after use. Hardened material can only be removed mechanically.
