For more information see the latest version of the Safety Data Sheet. Consumption Consumption depends on the nature of the support and the type of screed used;
PREPARATION OF THE SUPPORT The substrate must be clean, dry and stable, without friable parts or impurities that can reduce adhesion. Unevenness can be compensated with adhesive within the limit of 2.0 cm (0.787 in)/layer.
shuffle A 25kg (55.1 lb) bag must be mixed with approx. 5-6 liters of cold and clean water in a mixing container with the help of an electric mixer, at low speed, until a soft, lump-free paste is obtained. Use a mixer with max 500 rpm; after mixing leave the product for 10 minutes, then mix again to obtain a mortar with good workability and high thixotropic properties. APPLICATION Bonding: in the case of flat surfaces, the adhesive will be applied to the soffit of the boards with a 10mm (0.394 in) trowel. In the case of uneven surfaces, the adhesive will be applied with a trowel on the perimeter of the boards and in at least 3 points in their center. The installation of the boards in the plane will be done with alternative joints, similar to masonry walls, and at the corners - in strips.
Protective layer: the adhesive is applied to the surface of the boards with an 8mm (0.315 in) trowel. The fiberglass mesh will be embedded in the fresh layer of adhesive by smoothing with the serrated part of the trowel, after which the surface is leveled. The arrangement of the fiberglass mesh will be done in vertical strips, with parties of 8-10 cm (3.15-3.94 in). After the reinforcement layer has dried (minimum 24 hours), any burrs on the surface will be sanded with abrasive paper.
Finishing: the drying time before the application of subsequent finishes is a minimum of 7 days. CLEANING OF TOOLS Tools and surfaces soiled with uncured adhesive shall be cleaned with water immediately after application. Hardened material can only be removed mechanically. |
